Ocular imaging of the eye

  • To examine the macula for Wet and Dry changes
  • To check for glaucoma
  • To examine the angle of the eye between inner cornea and the iris.    A very narrow angle can cause acute glaucoma
  • To measure the corneal thickness. This  allows is to adjust the eye’s pressure readings from the tonometer. This ensures greater accuracy in the pressure readings.
  • To check for maculae oedema in diabetes patients
  • To see vitreous detachments in the eye
